Welcome to the former Landstefna now named Spáfold. I see your journey here was uneventful, for the most part. You may be wondering, just what is Spáfold? The answer to that is not as simple as one may think as it encompasses many areas and aspects of Art Roleplay. Spáfold is a large world that, via portals, is connected to our own. Only a select few people have ever stumbled upon Spáfold and those who have, have slowly come to accept that their new way of life, revolves around legends and prophecies passed down from previous generations that had come here.

It is believed that the Norse Gods rule over those who come here, alongside massive wolves, believed to be direct descendants of Fenrir himself. These wolves, were, over time, given the name of dire wolf or Canis dirus, "fearsome dog". These wolves are roughly the size of a quarter horse and capable of carrying a human over long distances. They are capable of short distance sprints which are similar to a cheetah.

Spáfold covers a landmass, roughly the same size as Europe, and has many geographic characteristics of Europe. From woodlands to glacier covered mountains, to inhospitable deserts, to volcanic ranges, it offers a wide variety of living situations, in which humans are expected to adapt too.

Spáfold is also unlike any other known ARPG. We are heavily story driven rather than buy a fancy dogo and breed the hell out of it. We offer more for activities, than we do for breeding and as such, because this land is primitive, breedings are kept to regulated 'cycles', meaning your dires can only come into heat 3x per year (March - spring heat/June - summer heat/November - winter heat - final heat). This has been done because we are trying to be as realistic as possible and there is simply no way, a wild animal could be expected to continually breed, and not drop dead from overbreeding. And Spáfold offers a wider range of natural predators, dire pups most often, never see their first birthday. In fact, Spáfold offers one of the highest morality rates among it's animal species than any other ARPG.

Crafting is a skill that is a necessary for survival. In order to survive, you need to hunt, to make clothing and other needed materials. And as such, we place more value on story driven areas of the group than we do in breedings.

This is, however, not to say that breedings of our dires won't be exciting! We offer a wider range of unique and beautiful colors, never found anywhere else. Coat colors that blend in with their natural environment, everything from beautiful summer coats, to stunning wintery coats. And while the physical traits of fangs and curled tails seems a bit .... old, we try to keep in mind that no two wolf species is ever going to be the same. And as such, physical traits will be heavily regulated to certain environmental areas. A curled tail may only ever be found in the glacier mountains of Spáfold while a thinner coat may only be found in the desert and volcanic regions.

New and less colors have come to the dires along with new eye colors and coat marking mutations. While not on any official template as of yet, the colors will soon be announced once everything is finalized with my team
Lokiiish and SuccubusLust However, I do believe the colors, markings and so forth will be welcomed as there's less to deal with. Old markings such as gold flecks will be a returning fan favorite. In all, our colors, marking mutations, and eye colors, will be easier to manage, with the eye colors having a wider range in both rarity and coloring.

As we are a work in progress, the group is not officially open to members, however, you're more than welcome to follow us and keep an eye on how things are progressing within the group. We have some fun ideas for when we do go to open, with some amazing quests and prizes to go along with the grand opening.
